The aim of the Economics Society is to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation for Economics beyond the classroom through discussions and activities that explore economic concepts and their real world applications.
The society also aims to encourage critical thinking and bring together students with shared interest in the subject.
In July 2024, twenty members of the club attended a book launch session by Nobel Laureate Dr.Esther Duflo at Alliance Francaise. She spoke on world poverty as a social evil which provided an insightful and thought provoking experience for the students.
